'We will do anything to get cricket back’ - Stokes
Cricketer Ben Stokes has told ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 5 Live he'd be happy to play behind closed doors.
The England all-rounder said he doesn’t believe players would lose any competitive edge without a crowd and told 5 Live’s Rachel Burden: “At the end of the day, cricket, it’s just a sport and the safety, health and wellbeing of everybody involved… is the most important thing right now."
Whilst in lockdown, Stokes is completing his first ever half-marathon to help raise funds for NHS Charities Together and the national children’s cricket charity Chance to Shine. He said: “I’ve never run more than eight kilometres in one go.â€
