Novelist Margaret Atwood has told 成人快手 5 Live she doesn鈥檛 believe the Covid-19 pandemic is the same as living in a dystopian society.

Speaking to 5 Live鈥檚 Emma Barnett, The Handmaid鈥檚 Tale author said the pandemic was not 鈥渁 deliberate totalitarianism and isn鈥檛 a deliberate arrangement鈥� so it does not fit the definition of dystopia.

She also predicts there will be an increased appreciation for the National Health Service for 鈥渁s long as we can remember鈥� the pandemic.
