'Hundreds' sleeping rough after the Jungle is closed
Aid agency worker Alice has told 5 live that there are hundreds of young people, some as young as 12, sleeping rough in Calais after the closure of the Jungle migrant camp.
She described how hundreds of young people have been left without shelter after the asylum registration process was halted and they were told to return to the camp.
She said: 鈥淭hey refused to register any more minors and they were told to go back to the Jungle...they get there and then riot police tell them they must leave.鈥
There are hundreds of minors now in Calais with no shelter, we are so worried about them and that is because of a failed system.鈥
French authorities have spent the week dismantling the migrant camp and have been bussing thousands of people to shelters and centres where they will be able to seek asylum.
