Face Recognition, GCSEs and Skegness

Rupal Rajani sits in alongside Jim to start your day with the latest news and updates.

Leicestershire police have admitted your face could be kept in their database - even if you've not been convicted of a crime.
They've given 成人快手 Radio Leicester an exclusive insight into their face recognition technology - that was first revealed last July.
It scans images from CCTV, or maybe a police bodycam, and then automatically matches them against a database of images of previous suspects.
Chief Constable Simon Cole has hailed its as "The fingerprinting of the future"
But he also admits that legislation hasn't yet caught up with technology, meaning if you've been photographed in a police custody suite your image could be kept in their database - even if you're not charged.

More than 10-thousand young people in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland will be waiting anxiously this morning to find out their GCSE results.
We've all been there haven't we.... sweaty palms, short of breath, heart rate rising!
And that's just the prospect of facing your parents - let alone opening that dreaded envelope!
Well whether your children or grandchildren get straight A's or not, the question about what they do next can often be quite tricky.

There's nothing like a day out at the seaside is there? A chance to relax in the bracing sea air..and have fun.....
Well on Monday, 150 people living on the St Matthews area of Leicester, did just that.....they took three coaches for a day trip to Skegness.
Many of them had never been to the beach before or not visited the British seaside.
It's all part of a local project which was given 1 million pounds by the Big Lottery Fund to improve the lives of people living in the area.
