Actor Eddie Marsan: 'UK drama too white, middle-class'
The actor Eddie Marsan has called for more investment in drama saying it's essential for the 'social cohesion' of the country.
He told 5 live's Dan Walker he thinks many dramas are from written, and produced from one perspective - "the white, privileged, middle class perspective"
Marsan stated he felt all aspects of society should be represented on screen and in theatre, because if it's not: "I worry about the cohesion in this country".
Eddie Marsan stars in the drama Jonathan Strange and Mr Norell, which is on Sunday at 9pm on 成人快手 ONE
