Teenagers: Receiving no comments on a selfie 'makes you feel upset'
Year 8 pupils Nicola, Waddia and Destiny say not receiving positive online feedback to selfies makes them "feel upset".
New research suggests the number of young teenage girls experiencing emotional problems has increased dramatically by 55% over the past five years.
Nicola said she uploaded pictures to Facebook and Instagram "aiming for a big amount of likes on it, so people think you're pretty."
"If you get five likes you're obviously going to delete it because other girls are getting 30 likes but I'm only getting five," she added.
