Britain 'leads the world' in fight against superbugs
Britain is very "innovative" and "lead the world" in the fight against superbugs says Dr Andy Radcliffe, Head of Chemistry at one drug company.
His comments come after Economist Jim O'Neill has called for more spending on fighting drug-resistant superbugs.
At the moment resistance to antibiotics is costing 700,000 lives a year globally, but Mr O'Neill claims the problem could cost 10 million lives a year by 2050.
