Norfolk black turkey
The Norfolk black had a distinguished pedigree, a direct descendent of the first turkey to be introduced to England from Mexico in 1524 and a favourite of Henry VIII.
But post World War II, as the country moved towards intensive farming, the Norfolk black almost died out. Thankfully one man and his family鈥檚 love of this ancient breed means it has been saved for the delectation of generations to come.
