The word of Allah (pbuh) spreads and the Ka'aba becomes an Islamic place of worship
Over 23 years, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) received more revelations. These all gave guidance from Allah about how to live. In total, Muhammad received 6,000 verses making up 140 sections and these made up the Qur'an. It took 20 years of struggle for the word to spread across Arabia. Eventually Muhammad was able to return to Mecca (Makkah) in peace. On his return he destroyed the idols and statues of gods in the Ka'aba and made it a place of worship for the one God Allah.
