The Qur'an is revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was chosen to tell the people there was only one God, how to worship him and how to treat all of his creation. This happened when Muhammad was 40 years old, when an angel appeared to him in a cave and revealed the first verses of the Qur'an to him. Muhammad could not read so he memorised the words.
