Wit and Modernity: cellist Sterling Elliot plays George Walker

Music by Britten, Walker and Brahms from Radio 3's New Generation Artists.

Wit and Modernity: Britten and Walker.

A debut recording at the 成人快手 studios from a recent member of Radio 3鈥檚 young artist scheme, the cellist Sterling Elliott, with George Walker鈥檚 witty Cello Sonata.

The humour continues as the Chaos String Quartet showcases Britten鈥檚 playful wit, paired with a dose of his trademark modernity in the second of his Three Divertimentos for String Quartet, recorded at the Cheltenham Music Festival.

To finish, Geneva Lewis graces us with a sophisticated performance of Brahms鈥檚 Violin Sonata No 2.

Sterling Elliott (cello) Gabriel Strata (piano)

Benjamin Britten: Three Divertimentos for String Quartet, no 2
