Hele 17
Charlie Ross visits a paper mill in the West Country, while the red and blue teams shop for collectibles at an antiques centre in north Devon.
Today’s episode comes from the West Country, a hotspot for artists who love to paint the area's landscape and architecture. Near Wells in Somerset, Charlie Ross is on the factory floor of a paper mill that makes high quality paper for artists. On an antique machine, he sees how pulp is moulded, pressed and heated until it’s tested with watercolours.
In the village of Hele in Devon, two teams of shoppers browse hundreds of collectibles over three floors of an antiques centre. History student Lily takes the lead for the red team, while her dad Steve and expert Philip Serrell tag along. Meanwhile, colleagues Nicki and Sarah are ‘feline’ torn between two cat-related items and turn to their expert Tim Weeks to help them decide.
Having bagged three items each, the teams head to the auction in Box, near Bath, where Andy Stowe is on the rostrum – but can he help them to hammer out any profits?
