The Boy I Love, In Orcadia at the RSA

Len Pennie talks to writer William Hussey about his new young-adult novel, The Boy I Love, a gay love story set in the trenches of World War I.

Len Pennie talks to writer William Hussey, whose new young-adult novel, The Boy I Love, is a breathtaking love story set against the horror of the battlefront of the First World War, and which involved painstaking and fascinating research.

And she's also joined by visual artist Samantha Clark, whose stunning works depicting the waters in and around Orkney are now on display at the Royal Scottish Academy in Edinburgh. The work was supported by her clinching the inaugural MacRobert Art Award, a prize intended to help find artists who are encountering difficulties mid-career to focus on and develop their talent.
