Founding member of Babyshambles and The Libertines Pete Doherty chooses this week's omnibus edition of Tracks of My Years

Vernon Kay welcomes his first Tracks of My Years of 2025, and joining him is Pete Doherty, who is best known for being co-frontman of The Libertines and founder of Babyshambles.

The Libertines formed in 1997 and released their debut album 鈥楿p The Bracket鈥� in 2002. Their self-titled second album reached the top of the UK charts two years later, but they disbanded soon after. Their next album wasn鈥檛 released until 2015, and that was followed by another long wait for fans until 鈥楢ll Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade鈥� dropped in 2024.

The Libertines were one of the stars of Radio 2鈥檚 Piano Room Month last year, and now Peter has a new solo album on the way and will be on tour across the UK and Europe later this year. Pete will be taking us on his 10-song musical journey this week, and he chooses very personal picks, as are his stories. We begin with Donna Summer and 鈥淟ove To Love You Baby鈥�.
