works to save lives and stop economic abuse forever. One in five UK women experienced economic abuse last year. The charity helps women rebuild their lives and trains professionals to improve the support they offer.
Rebecca鈥檚 story
Rebecca鈥檚 abusive ex-partner took out loans in her name. He left her looking for loose change to feed her child. No one understood it was economic abuse until she found Surviving Economic Abuse. They listened and helped her get the debts written off.
The stark reality of economic abuse
There are 5.5 million women in the UK, just like Rebecca, whose lives have been devastated by economic abuse. It can trap victims with the abuser or leave them homeless and destitute when they flee. Without support, some women never break free.
Transforming lives
Surviving Economic Abuse trains professionals to make sure when survivors report to the police, confide in a GP, or disclose to their bank, they get the right response. Your donation could help someone you know get the support they desperately need.
