The OHMI Trust
is a small charity that seeks to enable disabled musicians the opportunity to play the musical instruments they want to play, where they want to play them; be that at school or home, in a private music lesson, or professional ensemble.
Kaila
Kaila has a one-sided weakness but thanks to the digital technology used by this one-handed chanter, she is able to play the full range of bagpipe notes and techniques and been able to develop her playing skills alongside her friends.
OHMI Music-Makers
Music-Makers from across the UK come together to perform using a adapted instruments and supportive apparatus. Individuals are also able to join in regular, local ensembles thanks to instruments that allow them to play the full range of notes.
Peter Worrell
Peter Worrell makes beautiful instruments such as the one-handed recorder and clarinet. He is now working on using manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing to make the instruments more affordable and more quickly available.
