Bekelech from southern Ethiopia knows what it is like to be hungry. Two years ago she couldn鈥檛 grow enough food to feed her two boys. Then she聽met Ripple Effect who trained聽her in techniques such as聽climate-resilient vegetable聽varieties.
Learning farming skills for a climate crisis
Climate changes have hit southern Ethiopia hard, delayed rains prevent crops being planted and flooding washes away top soil.聽Ripple Effect works with the community to聽enable them to make聽sustainable compost to enrich聽their soil.
