The Power of Wales

Tracy Cardwell travels Wales to find out about alternative energy and sustainable power projects taking place in different parts of the country.

The UK Government wants to have a net zero power system in place by 2035.

So how is Wales stepping-up to the challenge?

Here Tracy Cardwell tours the country finding out about projects blazing a trail for Wales and the UK. The race is on to green up the Power of Wales,

We already have a head start as a net exporter of electricity, but meeting the target will mean embracing change and innovation.

Some of the more remarkable projects to decarbonise Wales are explored in this programme, including turning sewage into a clean gas, building a hydrogen gas plant and retrofitting homes on a huge scale.

Tracy finds out about work to expand one of the largest windfarms off the North Wales coast before discovering how inland, scientists in Bangor are helping to develop a new generation of nuclear reactors.

How are these new initiatives going down with the people of Wales? Tracy asks if the public will notice the innovative changes in their energy supply and if there is anything people in Wales can do themselves to aid this sustainable power revolution.
