Hungerford 23

The red and blue teams aim to weave profits at auction with three bargains bought at an antiques arcade in Hungerford.

As the red and blue teams weave their way around an antiques arcade in Hungerford, Caroline Hawley tries her hand at weaving willow. In the workshop of Erica Adams, she learns about the history of wicker and its resurgence as a sustainable material for making baskets and furniture.

On the red team, couple Jonjo and Scarlett are aiming to 'write themselves into Bargain Hunt history', with some expert help from Raj Bisram. The art deco fans soon spot a stylish period coffee set, but will they decide to splash out? Over with the blue team, Stephanie Connell is the guide for husband-and-wife duo Liz and Ian. Liz wants to buy something 'quirky, different and unique', while Ian wants to go 'big and bold'. Animal-related antiques seem to be the order or the day - but will an owl money box or a ceramic cobra win them over? Down the road in Newbury, auctioneer Thomas Forrester puts the teams’ items under the gavel, but which team will come out on top?
