For the Radio 2 Culture Club, Jo chats to movie critic James King about the latest films you won鈥檛 want to miss, including M Night Shyamalan鈥檚 鈥楰nock At The Cabin鈥�, 鈥榃omen Talking鈥� and 鈥楤lue Jean鈥�.

鈥楰nock At The Door鈥�, written and directed by M. Night. Shyamalan, tells the story of a family of three on their remote cabin vacation. Their holiday takes a sudden turn when they are held hostage by four strangers, who demand they sacrifice one of their own to avert the apocalypse.

Bafta nominated 鈥楤lue Jean鈥� is set in 1988, and follows the life of gym teacher Jean, played by Rosy McEwen. Jean is forced to live a double life due to the impending Thatcherite law stigmatizing gays and lesbians, but a new student is threatening to expose her sexuality.

Based on the real life events that occurred at the Bolivian Manitoba Colony in 2010, and the 2018 novel by Miriam Towes, 鈥榃omen Talking鈥� imagines the difficult conversations had by a group of women grappling with the reconciliation of a brutal reality with their faith. The impressive cast includes Jessie Buckley, Claire Foy and Ben Whishaw.
