'Why do we say a 'round' of bread?'
Sean explores some theories about round bread
"Tell me this," says Alan, "why do we say a 'round of bread' when it's not round at all?"
"I don't know myself," Sean says, "unless it was that bread was baked round years ago. Or is it like a round of drink? You know the way you say it's a round of drink because you go round the table? And everyone at the table buys their drink? I think maybe years ago the bread was bought and it went round the table... they started and tore a bit off it... I'm sorry I started that."
