John Toal introduces the last of four recitals featuring British cellist Laura van der Heijden and friends. They were recorded in St. Mark’s Church Dundela in east Belfast: the church in which CS Lewis was baptised and where his grandfather was rector.

Laura won the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Young Musician of the Year competition in 2012 and is well-known for her collaborative music-making. Today she’s joined by the British-German violinist Max Bailie and her colleagues in the Redon Quartet for performances of works by JS Bach, Bartók, Brahms and the contemporary Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova.
