And Mike Batt, the man who created a string of hits for The Wombles, is here for a chat.

Mike was barely out of his teens when his songwriting career took off in the early Seventies, and although he鈥檚 best-known for putting a voice to the furry litter collectors from Wimbledon Common, he鈥檚 written and produced music for a whole host of other acts, and was responsible for 1979鈥檚 biggest-selling single 鈥楤right Eyes鈥�, sung by Art Garfunkel. Mike talks to Johnnie about that remarkable song and tells how one of the session players in the Wombles almost ended up playing guitar full-time in The Greatest Rock & Roll Band In The World!
