Sammy in Belfast is tearing his hair out. 'I'm painting a ceiling...and I don't know where I am.'

'You have my sympathy,' Sean says. 'That's the bane of my life.'

'And I'm doing white on white,' Sammy says. 'And I'm getting lost.'

'I know,' says Sean, 'I've been you!'

'I have to go down the ladder to see where I am!'

''Well,' Sean says, 'I went on the internet and I got one of the videos on how to paint a ceiling, and from what I remember you had to do it in squares... You've got to start over there, and then you move one way... and then you move over to the other side. You can tell I don't know what I'm talking about can't you?'

Donny in North Antrim has a few tips. 'Take the curtains down, Sammy, and work back from the window towards the back of the room.'

And Lawrence the Painter calls in, quite vexed. 'I offered to be your painting correspondent some time ago, and you turned me down!'

'Never,' Sean says, 'Your price was too much, that was all!'
