Good morning

Today is a day pregnant with excitement and trepidation for a good many people. However, as staff return to work there is still little sense of the world tilting back totally to its normal axis,聽

Exactly 6 months ago, after a joyous ceremony to mark a new position my daughter and I moved into a new home and I looked forward to what would be our new realities in moving from inner city to suburb, for my daughter of finding new (longer) ways to get back to her old college, and me moving from parish life to a new reality of oversight of people and buildings at a more macro level. A few days later, the College stopped, office buildings closed, and our world became very much contained by our home our computers and the happily greener spaces that surround us.聽

But todaycollege reopens today and my daughters somewhat longer journey of getting back to her own altered reality begins. And tonight, I will take part in a church service welcoming and installing a priest into his church , speaking words that will begin a new life of discipleship for him.. It will be the first for me, in my new role as an Archdeacon, so a new beginning for me聽 also聽聽

Dear God, as life is restored and renewed in spite of the mistiness that surrounds us, reveal to us聽 more clearly, future opportunities and the things right before our eyes now. Amen
