Remembrance Sunday

Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad hear stories of heroism and fortitude from Kate Adie and Revd Fergus Butler-Gallie on Remembrance Sunday.

Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad hear stories of heroism and fortitude on Remembrance Sunday.

A much loved and respected Chief News Correspondent, no stranger to war zones, Kate Adie shares stories about the role women played in World War 1, and reflects on why the act of remembrance became so important in it's aftermath.

Revd Fergus Butler-Gallie is the author of 'Priests De La Resistance!' a book celebrating the clerical loose canons who fought fascism in the 20th century. From the French priest after whom the Kir Royale cocktail is named, who supported the French resistance, to the chain-smoking Hungarian nun who saved Jewish refugees, Fergus shares extraordinary stories of heroism, defiance and faith.

Our Charity Champion David Matthews is walking the length and breadth of Britain and Ireland to visit all 201 offices of the Samaritans. He tells Kate and Jason why he has embarked on such an extraordinary 'Listening Walk' and what he's learning along the way.

Plus ahead of Children in Need on Friday 15th November, Kate dons her hard hat to visit the DIY SOS Children In Need build in Blackburn, where Nick Knowles and team are turning a church hall into accommodation for young people experiencing homelessness.
