A family in West Belfast faces an agonising wait for a heart transplant for their 21 month old baby boy
Plus, politician Lord Adonis claims the DUP want the hardest possible Brexit, is he right?
A family in West Belfast is facing an agonising wait for a heart transplant for their 21 month old baby boy.
Daithi McGowan was born with a serious defect to the left side of his heart and a donor is his only chance at life.
His parents, Seph and M谩irt铆n, have spoken to our reporter, Nicola Weir, about the moment a scan revealed the devastating prognosis....
Plus, a former MLA has hit out at our local politicians saying - 'enough is enough' get off your lazy backsides and get back to Stormont!
Ross Hussey, a former UUP MLA, warns that "while Stormont is on hold disability claimants are struggling".
Writing in yesterday's Newsletter, Ross says that disability benefit claimants are 'forgotten and overlooked' by Stormont as they battle the process of moving from DLA to the new PIP - that's Personal Independence Payments - system.
Also, it looks like Lord Adonis won't be getting any Christmas cards from the DUP this year.
The Labour politician was in northern ireland last week and tweeted this...
"After 3 days in Northern Ireland I now understand DUP mindset.
They WANT hardest possible Brexit because they want new hard border with Ireland for cultural/political reasons.
But essential they can blame UK govt, so they claim publicly not to want 'hard border.' Deeply dishonest"
In fact it prompted DUP MP, Emma Little -pengelly, to fire back...
"Absolute lies. Your tweet sums up what a disgraceful person you are.
We have made clear we do not want a hard border. Shame on you, you are simply using the border for your own narrow political objective caring not for reconcilliation. Hope all will see through you,as they should"
And, it's time to stop stalling
That's the message being sent to Prime Minister Teresa May by more than 170 politicians from the UK and Ireland, who have signed a letter urging the UK government to reform Northern Ireland's abortion laws.
It is the only part of the UK where abortion is illegal unless there is a serious risk to a woman's health.
The letter, published in the Sunday Times, says ministers cannot continue to argue that it is a devolved matter.
