American singer-songwriter John Grant who recently relocated to Reykavik and who appears at Glastonbury next weekend presents Songs from a Dark Place, a documentary exploring the music, magic and rise of Icelandic music and Nordic Noir and how a land deprived of sunlight has become a melting pot for creativity and music featuring Bjork, The Sugarcubes, Sigur Ros, Damon Albarn, Ben Frost and contributions from newer emerging Icelandic talent like Olof Arnalds, Asegir and Mammut and Fufanu.
