Louise White asks whether people should be allowed to use force to defend their homes.
TOPIC 1: PRESTWICK
Prestwick Airport is to receive nearly 拢10m of investment from the Scottish government, Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced. The funding will go towards operating costs, a repairs backlog and to make improvements to the terminal building. Rival airports in Scotland have voiced concerns about competition from a publicly-subsidised Prestwick which the Scottish Government bought for 拢1 last year. Ms Sturgeon also rejected calls to rename it Robert Burns Airport, saying this could cause confusion.
Louise asks: Prestwick Airport is to receive a multi-million pound makeover; do you think it's worth it?
TOPIC 2: REASONABLE FORCE
A UK wide survey of homeowners found the majority of people believe they should be able to use force against intruders. The respondents said the greatest motivation would be if they felt their loved ones were threatened. The report from home insurance provider RIAS, found that people want tougher sentences for burglars and in other security matters, there has been a steady decline in membership of Neighbourhood Watch Schemes. The most recent statistics show that on average, there are 95 housebreakings each day in Scotland, or one every 15 minutes.
Louise asks: Should you be able to use force to defend your home?
