Still no Asian Premier League footballers?

Naresh Puri sits in for Nihal. Is it the fault of parents that there is no Asian Premier League football star? Plus Harjap Bangal is our immigration guru. Get your calls in early.

At 1, Naresh Puri sits in for Nihal and asks - s it the parents fault that there's no Asian Premier League Football Star?

A campaign by 'Kick it Out' is encouraging more Asians to play football. They are going into local places of worship and helping motivate and encouage Asian players to get involved with the game.
Asians have been in the UK in big numbers since the sixties, there's been a smattering of Asian players since the seventies but no-one has even broken through to be a player at the top level.

But who's fault do you think this is? Is it the clubs who have racist attitudes towards Asians? Is it the players who don't have the desire? Or is the parenst who don't back their sons in the same way that the parents of white and black players? Are you a parent and would much rather see your son become an accountant than a footballer? Or do you think attitudes are changing and that parents are pushing their kids to be whatever they want to be? Call Naresh and tell him what you think.

Then later in the show, Immigration Guru, Harjap Bangal will be in the studio answering all your visa related questions. Make sure you get your questions in early.
