John Shea presents German pianist Lars Vogt at the Wigmore Hall, London, in Berg's Piano Sonata, Schubert's Klavierstucke, D946, and Liszt's Piano Sonata in B minor.
John Shea presents a recital given at London's Wigmore Hall by German pianist Lars Vogt, a musician described as 'extraordinary' by his mentor, conductor Simon Rattle. In a residency series at the Wigmore, Vogt performs some of the cornerstones of the 19th and early 20th century piano repertoire, including Berg's Sonata, Op 1, composed while he was still a pupil of Schoenberg, as well as works by Schubert and Liszt.
Berg: Piano Sonata, Op 1
Schubert: Drei Klavierstucke, D946
Liszt: Piano Sonata in B minor
Plus part of a recital from Wigmore Hall by one of the 2008 Young Musician concerto finalists:

Jadran Duncumb (guitar).
