Edinburgh councillors are considering buying new city homes which developers fail to sell so they can make them available for rent. It comes as city developer Gregor Shore said it had gone into administration leaving 120 jobs under threat. If the government was prepared to step in with our cash to bail out the banks, should local council tax payers help bail out the property sector?
