Lennox Castle: A World Apart

Polly Phillips travels to Lennox Castle, at the foot of the Campsie Fells north of Glasgow, to lift the lid on life in one of Scotland's most infamous institutions.

At the age of 13, John Logie was sent to Lennox Castle Hospital for stealing a bike. He left 39 years and 11 months later. Lennox Castle was home to hundreds of people with anything from cerebral palsy to learning difficulties - as well as 'juvenile delinquents' like John. Polly Phillips travels to Lennox Castle, at the foot of the Campsie Fells north of Glasgow, to lift the lid on life at the hospital and to hear first-hand what it was like to live in one of Scotland's most infamous institutions.
