Speech Clips
When creating a clip of speech radio, think of a single message to convey and then sell it. Don't try to sell more than one thing at once.
Title
- “Quotes” can work well
- No more than 48 characters
- Pose an interesting question if it’s answered by the clip
- No need to name-check talent or the programme
- No clickbait!
Short description
- Use it to draw people in
- Do not repeat information from the title
Medium description
- Copy the short description
Long description
- Keep it to one short paragraph in length
- Explain everything using uncomplicated words
- Credit the programme, the original broadcast date and mention all the voices within the clip if they’re not introduced in the audio
Related link
- Add the originating episode URL as a related link
Image
- If the clip features a personal story from a listener, ideally source an image of that person
- Otherwise, please use as bright and fun an image as possible
- Images should be 1920 x 1080 pixels with the subject in the centre so that nothing of note is cropped out in 成人快手 Sounds
Genre
- Add the single genre that best reflects the content of the clip. This enhances the quality of the aggregations and recommendations in Sounds.
General advice
- No swearing or rude words
- Double-check spelling and grammar
- Explain everything simply; don’t use overly-complicated words
- Don’t assume the audience has prior knowledge; add context in the long description if necessary
- Choose clips that will interest the largest possible audience, not just listeners to the source programme or network
- Keep looking at the and Radio 4 in Four for good examples
