About
成人快手 Radio Manchester has spent three months embedded with the officers of .
The aim: to give listeners an unfiltered look at what it’s like to be a cop on the frontline in 2019.
For the first time the radio station has been able to capture a breadth of policing as it actually happens.
With access to several units, we discover the real life situations waiting for officers at the other end of that 999 call.
The results are a powerful observation of the emergencies that are happening on our streets and in our communities right now.
We Join officers on a high speed chase across Manchester, lift the lid on the case of a terrorist encouraging attacks on a member of the Royal family and hit the beat with response officers in Bolton.
Cops on the Frontline is a window into the reality of being a modern officer of the law.
Producer, Liam Bradford says:
“This project has been a huge eye-opener to the sheer intensity of being an officer. With the utmost respect, it’s an abnormal way to earn a living.
I’ve seen first-hand, officers working under immense pressure with no real margin for error. Situations that most of us will thankfully, never be exposed too.
Some of it was frightening and I witnessed a number of truly horrific situations. “Just another day” is what I was told.
The force is rightly scrutinised for its actions but I hope this project gives 成人快手 Radio Manchester listeners a new perspective on what it’s like to be a cop on the frontline.”
Kate Squire, Editor 成人快手 Radio Manchester says:
“I’m hugely proud of this work, it’s journalism at its best. Part of what we do at 成人快手 Radio Manchester is show people what life is really like where we live, this does just that and I think will make everyone who hears it think differently.”
