Adoption UK

Adoption UK is a national charity run by and for adopters, providing self-help information, advice, support and training on all aspects of adoption and adoptive parenting. They work with parents and practitioners to make adoptions succeed, promoting loving and supportive family relationships within adoptive families. After Adoption

After Adoption is a voluntary adoption agency providing a range of services for birth relatives, adopted adults and adoptive families. Services vary from region to region across the UK. In addition they provide search and intermediary services for birth relatives and adopted adults on a self-funding basis – this applies to birth parents and adopted adults who live anywhere in the world, as long as the adoption was within the UK. AAA-Norcap

AAA-Norcap offers support for all issues which may arise for adults affected by adoption. They specialise in reunion and contact (and run the biggest contact register in the UK). NORCAP is also able to make approaches to adults affected by adoption, via their own discreet Facebook pages. They also have a Recovery and Support Service for those who have been contacted via social networking and now need some support. Contact them by phone on 01865 875000 or go to their website.

Barnardo's

Barnardo's has more than 100 years' experience of fostering and can offer help and support to someone trying to trace their birth family. They also operate fostering and adoption agencies and recruit a wide range of foster carers from across the UK.
