The most famous people Radio 1 has ever interviewed

If there's one thing that's going to make a Monday morning a little easier to deal with, then it's having Chris Pratt drop by for a chat and a bacon sandwich.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 star popped into the Radio 1 studios to chat about his new movie with Nick Grimshaw and flex his acting muscles before 9am.

But we're no stranger to hanging out with some of the biggest names in music. Here's just a few of our biggest and best interviews ever. Sadly, Innuendo Bingo didn't quite make the shortlist...

When Nick Grimshaw interviewed Chris Pratt

鈥淚t鈥檚 laugh out loud, genuinely funny鈥 鈥 Chris Pratt on Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Grimmy talks to Chris about the music and the laughs in the new film.

Chris Pratt is one of the biggest names in Hollywood and the leading man in some of the biggest franchises in modern cinema.

He shot to fame in 2014 with lead roles in The Lego Movie and Guardians Of The Galaxy, later starred in Jurassic World and oh, now he's just casually hanging out at Radio 1.

Chris chatted to Grimmy about the GoTG sequel and how important the soundtrack is to the movies in the franchise.

When the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge presented the Top 10

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge read the Official Chart Top Ten

Greg had some very special co-presenters for the Official Chart this afternoon.

Who'd have thought the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would ever be the ones counting down the UK's Top Ten singles?

William and Kate spent an afternoon at Radio 1 about their mental health charity Heads Together before hopping into a studio with Greg James to run through the chart.

When Clara Amfo interviewed Justin Bieber

And Nick wasn't the only one to get an invite to LA to hang out at home with a superstar. In September 2016 Clara spent the day at actual home (well, one he rents of ).

They played basketball and hung with his dog Todd. It was every fan's dream so it's just as well Clara is a fully signed-up Belieber.

When Nick Grimshaw interviewed Calvin Harris

It's one thing to chat to an A-list popstar in the Radio 1 studios (they're very nice btw) but a trip to Los Angeles is even nicer.

Grimmy flew to LA to hang out with in his own home in May 2016 where they chatted about his tune This Is What You Came For and what it's really like working with in the studio.

When Cel Spellman interviewed Selena Gomez

is one of the most desired women in the world, not least by the listeners of Cel Spellman's Sunday show on Radio 1.

So when she swung by the 成人快手 to chat in 2016, he didn't waste time on questions about her current single, instead he let fans phone in and try their best chat-up lines on the Hands To Myself superstar...

When Greg James interviewed Anna Kendrick

It's not just stars from the charts who come and chat to Radio 1, Hollywood A-listers are also seen around these parts too.

When Anna Kendrick visited the Radio 1 studios to promote the animated movie Trolls, she was faced with one of the weirdest interviews Radio 1 has ever done...

When Nick Grimshaw interviewed One Direction

It's not ideal when one of the four people you're interviewing is only able to speak through a mobile phone app, but Grimmy did a fine job when chatting to in what must be one of their final interviews.

Harry Styles had been warned by doctors that he could only sing or speak - so he stayed silent during the chat.

When Scott Mills interviewed Ed Sheeran

Not only did spend most of the morning at Radio 1 on the day he released his two singles Shape Of You and Castle On The Hill, but he also performed a special acoustic version of Castle in the studio with Scott Mills.

It was one of our first big interviews of 2017 and set the bar pretty high.

When Annie Mac interviewed Kanye West

Is really going to run for President of the USA in 2020? He told Annie Mac all about his political plans in 2016...

When Nick Grimshaw interviewed Katy Perry

Ed Sheeran gets everywhere! He popped into The Radio 1 Breakfast Show when was chatting to Nick Grimshaw about her single, Chained To The Rhythm.

And she wasn't mad about him keeping her off the No. 1 spot, of course not...

When Nick Grimshaw interviewed Taylor Swift AND Ed Sheeran

And there he is again!

and Ed Sheeran are two of pop's best (and most successful) friends and the chart-topping pair had their friendship tested to the max when Grimmy quizzed them on how much they know each other.
