22 year old David Bowie chats to Brian Matthew about 鈥楽pace Oddity鈥�.

We have unearthed this clip of a very young David Bowie being interviewed by Brian Matthew in October 1969. Bowie debunks the rumour that ‘Space Oddity’ was written as a response to the launch of Apollo 11 and plays a beautiful live version of ‘Let Me Sleep Beside You’. This is the first time that track had been played in public but that year it would be included in his promotional film ‘Love You till Tuesday’.
