Diana Morgan-Hill has always loved dance but a tragic accident 20 years ago brought her passion to an abrupt end.
The 49-year-old mum became a double amputee following an accident. Running for a train, she tried to jump on board, but fell down the gap, slicing one of her legs off. She then fell under the train, which went over her remaining leg and electrocuted her twice.
A successful businesswoman, prior to her accident Diana ran an international press & PR company. After the accident, she married, had a daughter and later divorced. She is now an editor for a charity magazine.
Diana is familiar with wheelchair sport. She has been heavily involved in Wheelchair Tennis, playing in championships both in the UK and Europe, but she has not danced since her accident.
She says: "It's going to be a difficult journey for me. Hopefully it will make me accept myself more in the wheelchair. There's this lovely lightness of feeling that comes over me when I dance, it brought back exactly how I used to feel when I would dance before my accident."
Diana is dancing with world champion swimmer Mark Foster. Mark competed in the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Hayley Holt; they reached week six before losing out in the dance-off.
