"Deborah Moggach has produced a fine adaptation and John Jones was a remarkable director. He absolutely focused on what he wanted and how he wanted to tell the story and completely sympathetic to all of us actors who had to pretend we were enduring what those unfortunate souls endured all those years ago.

"It was humbling to realise how the Franks and their friends continued to live with courage, hope and humour in the face of such outrageous persecution and horror.

"I really hope that we have contributed in some small way to making sure the story of the Franks and all those courageous people who risked their lives to help those in such peril, will never be forgotten."
