Ìý

Frances Tomelty is an accomplished Royal Shakespeare Company actress who has appeared in some of television's best-loved dramas, including Inspector Morse; Cracker; New Tricks; Spooks and Midsomer Murders.

Ìý

On stage, Frances has appeared in RSC productions such as Peter Pan; The Merchant of Venice; Richard III and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Ìý

Her film credits include Jim Sheridan's The Field, with Richard Harris; Lamb, starring Liam Neeson; and Bullshot, with Mel Smith and Billy Connolly.

Ìý

She has also appeared in Lucy Sullivan is Getting Married; Casualty; Trial and Retribution; Ballykissangel; Bergerac and Andrew Davies' adaptation of Middlemarch, starring Natasha Little.

Ìý

The Belfast-born actress' earliest TV appearances included parts in Coronation Street in 1972; Armchair Theatre and the Edward Woodward detective series, Callan.

Ìý

Frances went on to appear in several editions of Play for Today; Tales of the Unexpected and in Terry Nation's sci-fi series, Survivors.
