What the Jacksons are doing now
Ìý
Jacqui is hoping to be Dr Jackson by next year. She is currently doing a PHD,
developing an interactive digital poly-sensory experience for autistic children.
Ìý
She has written another book entitled My Magnificent 7 – the reality of the
autistic spectrum which will be published next year on how her family's lives have
moved on over the last two years and her experience making the drama.
Ìý
She also
travels around the country giving talks and lectures on autism issues as a
consultant for CDAP (Centre for the Development of Autism Practice).
Ìý
Matthew, 21, is a sergeant teaching sea-cadets, Joe being one of them.
Ìý
Rachel, 20, is studying a degree in clothing design in Manchester.
Ìý
Sarah, 18, is studying for a French degree in Preston.
Ìý
Luke wrote A User Guide to the GFCF diet at the age of 12 and Freaks, Geeks
and Asperger Syndrome at 13. His poems and photographs are to be
published in Crystalline Lifetime – fragments of Asperger Syndrome next year. Now 17, he is at college with full-time support doing five GCSEs and a Photography A-level.

Anna, 15, is doing nine GCSEs whilst juggling a hectic social life.
Ìý
Joe, 12, is coping well in a mainstream school with one-to-one support.
Ìý
Ben, 8, is making amazing progress. Despite being told he would never walk or
talk, he now runs around, attends a special school, excels in Maths and is
accepting of many more things.
