CBeebies Autumn 2005
Charlie and Lola

C成人快手 - Autumn highlights 2005

CBeebies

Charlie and Lola

Losing a tooth, getting a haircut, taking medicine, not being able to find a favourite book in the library and having to eat your least favourite foods are just some of the daily trials of life of a pre-school child, and all feature in the enchanting world of Charlie and Lola.

Based on the award-winning books by Lauren Childs, Charlie and Lola is a charming and imaginative new animation series which will captivate pre-school children and their parents alike.

Charlie is seven - he likes playing football, rockets and racing cars. Lola is four, but very nearly five. She likes pink milk, giggling and her best friend Lotta. And she is very independent!

As they come up against life's daily problems, their imaginations set them off on an exuberant journey of fantasy and discovery.

And when Lola is unsure or worried, Charlie is there to support her with humour and logic.

Aimed at four to six-year-olds, the series is voiced by children using evocative child-like language, and explores the special relationship between siblings.

Animated in the UK and reflecting the style of the books which have won acclaim the world over, Charlie and Lola is characterised by distinctive and imaginative production techniques, using two-dimensional animation combined with a 'cut-out' style.

A Tiger Aspect production.

Muffin the Mule

Autumn on CBeebies will see the return of hugely popular children's classic Muffin the Mule.

Muffin was the first ever children's TV character, making his debut on a show called For the Children in October 1946.

Although the new version is animated, it promises to be a faithful representation of the classic character.

Muffin will entertain pre-schoolers, along with his nine friends. These include Peregrine the Penguin, Louise the Lamb and Oswald the Ostrich - who were all original puppet characters in the Forties TV show.

A Maverick Entertainment production.
