Alyson (39), Richard (35) and Lucie (three years
and six months) from Leicester
听
Lucie is a very bright three-year-old, who knows how
to manipulate her mother.
听
She is very spoilt by Alyson and as a result she has
become very demanding. She will order Alyson around and will treat her
like a servant much of the time.
听
Lucie does not get involved with her dad when her mum
is around. If mum Alyson is in the house, she will not let her dad do
anything for her.
听
She has never slept in her own bed and when she gets
herself worked up, she will bite and slap.
听
Alyson is a 39-year-old part time sales assistant for
a high street retail chain. She is usually 'quite a relaxed and chilled-out
person'. She has no real routine or structure in her life and tends
to be disorganised.
听
Richard is a 35-year-old tax inspector. Lucie is his
first child. He describes himself as "organized and patient" - though
he admits that he loses his temper much quicker than Alyson.
听
He likes to have even the smallest things planned well
ahead.
听
Richard tends to be much stricter with Lucie in general
and is fed up of being the bad guy who tells Lucie off and reprimands
her.
听
Alyson brought up her first son alone and has not adapted
to any kind of "dual parenting" model. She brings up Lucie as though
she is sole guardian, leaving Richard angry and dejected.
