Northern Ireland weather: Ice warning ends but treacherous conditions remain

An ice warning in place across Northern Ireland earlier on Monday has now ended.

Police have urged motorists to drive with caution as treacherous conditions remain in some locations, including Hannahstown, in west Belfast.

Some sporting events have been affected by the icy weather.

Monday's Irish Premiership football match between Newry City and Glenavon has been called off due to a frozen pitch.

Temperatures fell to several degrees below zero in parts overnight, with Katesbridge, in County Down, recording -5C.

The Met Office warned of a risk of slips and falls in untreated areas.

They also say a few rain, sleet and snow showers may also occur.
