Monday's Irish Premiership match between Newry City and Glenavon has been called off because of a frozen pitch at the Showgrounds.

Northern Ireland was hit with icy weather on Monday with temperatures falling several degrees below zero in parts overnight.

It is the second time the fixture has been called off after it was postponed on Friday following heavy rain.

There are five other Irish Premiership matches at 15:00 GMT on Monday.

Ballymena United v Glentoran will be played as scheduled after the Showgrounds passed a pitch inspection on Monday morning.

Elsewhere, Cliftonville host league leaders Larne, Linfield face Coleraine, Carrick Rangers take on Crusaders and Portadown meet Dungannon Swifts.
