Today is a year to go until the start of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
To mark the milestone, 300 drones lit up the skies above Birmingham city centre in the early hours of 28 July, performing a six-minute light show.
Ian Reid, CEO of Birmingham 2022, said: 鈥淭his is a hugely exciting moment in the life of these Games.
"With a year to go until the lights go up on the opening ceremony, I am delighted to say that we are on track to deliver what will be an incredible showcase of sport, culture, creativity and community, providing a long-awaited celebration that will bring people back together.
鈥淢omentum is ramping up, and we鈥檙e excited to announce that the highly anticipated main ballot, which is open to everyone, will open on 8 September."

A man from Shrewsbury has been arrested after allegedly running an illegal streaming channel online.
West Mercia Police seized computers and hardware during a search of the 56-year-old's home.
Officers also disabled the suspected illegal streams and posted an online message to users warning them the content was thought to be unlawful.
The man, who was held on suspicion of money laundering and encouraging or assisting in the commission of obtaining services dishonestly, has since been released under investigation.

There was disappointment for Birmingham gymnast Joe Fraser as he finished ninth in the men's all-around event in Tokyo.
The 22-year-old had qualified fifth, but his hopes of a medal effectively ended after an early fall on the pommel as gold went to Daiki Hashimoto of Japan.
Fraser's focus now shifts to the individual parallel bars final on Thursday. He was named world champion on the apparatus in 2018.
Only 10,464 of the fines, issued since charging began in June, have been paid so far.

The Bromyard Centre, run by Halo, had only just reopened after lockdown when the heavy rain hit.
Scott Rolfe, from Halo Leisure, said he was hopeful the centre would be able to open again soon.
"The damage is nowhere near the level we've experienced before," he said. "We've got it drying out, that's going to take us a couple of days, then we'll get the electrical contractors on site."
"We're hopeful, we're talking hopefully days not weeks."

The sun pendant, also known as a bulla, will be hosted at Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery from September until December as a British Museum Spotlight Loan.
It was discovered in the Shropshire Marches in May 2018 by an anonymous metal detector user.
It dates from between 1000鈥800BC in the late Bronze Age period and is only the second ever found in Britain.
Shrewsbury Museum is now crowdfunding to be able to acquire other historically significant objects unearthed from the area to help tell the complete story of ancient Shropshire.
Fay Bailey, manager of Shropshire Museums, said: 鈥淭he Shropshire sun pendant is an unparalleled find of international significance.
"The discovery of this exceptional object and associated finds helps to deepen our understanding of Bronze Age Britain and confirms that Shropshire has an important story to tell.
"We are delighted to be the first venue to display this remarkable object.鈥
Officers have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Hereford.
West Mercia Police said officers were called to Dartmouth Court at 02:12 BST on Tuesday.
A man received treatment for stab injuries to his neck and abdomen and is now in a stable condition, the force said.
A cordon remains in place at Dartmouth Court.
The arrested man remains in custody while the investigation continues, it added.
Twelve months out from 28 July 2022, Birmingham organisers point to the role to be played region-wide.
