Whatever you think of Liam, Oasis wouldn't be Oasis without him.
His thunderous voice and swaggering presence were more than instrumental
in the band's rise to stardom, but then so were his off-stage antics.
Is
it time for him to calm down and start behaving himself? Is he becoming

First off, I've been a die-hard Oasis fan since late '95. I
used to believe whatever the media said about the Gallaghers, especially
Liam. When I grew up a bit and got to "know" Oasis and the lads,
I realized that Liam is nothing but a sweetheart, kind, gentle soul

I was the first person in the world to interview oasis back in
1991 for UpTown magazine. we met in Monroes Hotel on London Road.
Guigs, noel and Liam showed up. Liam had just been to sign on the
dole, whilst guigs was working for BT. Noel was fine, Liam.... well
Liam is just Liam. He had belief in himself and the band. He told
me they were going to be the next biggest thing to hit the Manchester

I saw the band play the Livid festival 2 months ago. They were awesome.
I have nothing but respect for the band. Nobody, and i mean nobody
cared about Oasis back in August 1991. But they did. Good luck to

I think you need to appreciate Liam as a character. Obviously, he
is not to be taken seriously. He routinely pays the consequences of
his actions, albeit through missing teeth, and missing record sales.
I look forward to plenty more Gallagher brothers' stories. I must
admit, that Noel's unabridged, and often scathing opinions of his
contemporaries are some of the most hilarious commentsl I have ever

As a Mancunian isolated from my beautiful hometown, I am proud that
sound bands like Oasis have been born and bred in Manchester. Liam
isn't a bad lad just cos he has an edgy, hard personality unlike manufactured
bands, i.e atomic kitten, will young, gareth gates, etc. He and the
rest of the band are role models to youngsters who don't have much
and go thru rough times. It's true he's mental and rough, but people

I think Liam is an insecure alcoholic who was cast into a world
he wasn't prepared for ...(I.e., "High? Society). Also, having to
deal with the fact that he's totally dependent on his cold, prissy
brother would make any man cringe. I think he should leave oasis after
this tour and seek out some form of living independent of Noel. Once
he finds some self respect, he may not feel the need to hide in the
bottle any longer. He also needs to be treated for manic depression,
fetal alcohol syndrome, attention deficit disorder, narcissistic personality
disorder and drug and alcohol abuse by an experienced psychiatrist.
Since his family doesn't appear to give a shit what he does as long
as the money flow isn't impeded, he will have to seek this treatment
out on his own. P.S: I feel Liam came out pretty well in the fight
since both his minders were out of action and the drummer was running.
The fact that he was on his feet, bleeding and still fighting is admirable.
I wouldn't be ashamed of that one bit.

the oasis members were singled out for no other reason than them to
retaliate. Leave the fella alone, those who are close to him know

streets of Manchester; his attitude is merely a survival mechanism.
