There is a small area of England from which, if you are someone who prefers to bake rather than buy from the baker’s shelves, you can procure your own flour for a year, and it’s free. The only snag is, you have to live in either the village of Tichborne or Cheriton in Hampshire to qualify. How is it that this staple commodity is simply handed out to the villagers on the 25th of March every year?
