The fate of Richard III’s body

By Bow Bridge in Leicester, a large stone plaque reads:

NEAR THIS SPOT LIE THE REMAINS OF RICHARD III THE LAST OF THE PLANTAGENETS 1485

"The local legend states that an old woman on the 21st August, seeing Richard strike his foot against the parapet of West Bridge, prophesied "Where he has struck his foot, there he shall strike his head". "

"Kirby Muxloe castle near Leicester is unfinished because of Richard. He disposed of the owner William, Lord Hastings, in his push for the throne in 1483."
